Home on the Range

There are times I just have to remind myself that it is all worth it. Living in the country is a lot of work and with a 3 yr old and 5 mo old, the work seems to pile up faster than we can get it done. For those of you who know me well, that about kills me! Dave and I have struggled all summer just to get the lawn mowed. But when I look outside at the pond and the rolling hills, I am reminded that God created all of these details and we are blessed to look out and see it. I especially love it when we can see the weather changing. This picture was Saturday afternoon. Saturday was 100% humidity and about 78 degrees. Sunday, 0% humidity, 56 degrees and windy.

The kids and I had a long weekend. Dave was gone a full 3 days and 2 nights. And yes, I almost went crazy. I knew I needed a break when Layla spilled my soda and it brought tears to my eyes. I'm not much of a cryer, so this was a sign to me that I was losing it! Luckily, Dave is home today, the kids are napping and life feels peaceful. Praise the Lord for naps and husbands!
