We started the day with a beautiful sunrise over the pond and were reminded how God is in the details. This was one of those rare weekends we were home and got to enjoy the weather, the kids, friends, a little work in the yard and, yes, Dave and I even went on a date. I think that makes two this month...yippee! We took the kids to Cedar Bridge tonight. We had a picnic, played softball and ran through the bridge many times. What a joy to see Layla dirty, sweaty, hair all over the place and a wild smile. I love that about summer. I love the end of the day, kids with dirt between their toes and hair matted to their forehead with sweat. To me it says they had a good day. So, we will enjoy these last days of warm weather while we can. Next summer Layla will be going on 4 years old and Cooper will be walking around. Oh my, praise God for these days!
