This weekend God keeps giving me a word......happiness. Our life has been crazy the last few days. We are undertaking a major overhaul of all of our landscaping, which includes tons of rock for rock walls and an enormous amount of dirt work. Dave did almost all of the dirt work and spent 10 hours yesterday in the bobcat moving boulders to wherever the landscaper told him. He worked very hard to save us money. So, I'm not sure he had as many happy thoughts as I did this weekend!
As I watched my kids running happy, free and filthy dirty all day long all I could think was, "that is pure happiness!" Layla helped me snap the ends off a few pounds of garden green beans to freeze and as we sat outside, in the shade on our Adirondack chairs, the same thought....happiness. And today, they ran under the willow trees, what magic trees they are! Dave hates trimming the willows and threatens to cut them down every time, but I tell him that he can't, the kids love them! Their long wispy limbs blow in the wind and when you're under the willow they create a dome shaped house. The kids love to run in and out of the limbs and laugh, and laugh, and laugh and laugh....................happiness!
