"Don't Worry, We're All Booteeful"

I have several happenings and pictures to post from our weekend and as I was sitting here downloading Layla came to me with a question. She has many dolls with various skin colors. Up to this day, she has never asked me why and I wasn't even sure if she noticed. Well, she just brought two of them over to me and asked, "mommy, why are these different?" When I asked her what she meant she said, "their legs mom, why are they different?" I asked her again what the difference was she was referring to. I wasn't quite sure yet, I thought maybe she was talking about their clothes. This whole time she's looking at the dolls and I could tell her mind was working very hard. She then said, "mommy, their skin is different because that's how God made them." And before I could revel in how dang cute that was she then added, "don't worry mommy, we're all booteeful."

So, onto the pictures that are posted here. I just had to add some of the kids. Cooper enjoying his bath and Layla trying to cuddle with one of our puppies. For those of you who don't know, we breed pointing labs. This is a puppy from a litter we had 4 weeks ago. Layla loves getting her helmet on every evening, getting on the 4 wheeler with dad and taking the dogs for a run. She is the alpha of the dog pack, or so she thinks. She gets all of her pent up bossiness out on the dogs.
It was a fun weekend for Dave at the Newton racetrack. His company had an outing and it ended up including pit and garage passes. Now, I don't follow car racing much, but it was very cool to be in the pits and see all the action on Friday. Dave spent the whole weekend. They got to be in the winner's circle Saturday and Dave presented something to the winning driver. The big attraction of the weekend was Danica Patrick so I just had to include her picture.
