There are twin boys in Layla's class who she has gotten to be good buddies with. I think they are like her surrogate Sam and Henry. Today I asked Layla how the boys were and she said, "They're great mom. I asked them if they wanted to come to my house to play and they said sure, what's your phone number?"
I'm smiling, thinking this is so cute. Dave was sitting at the kitchen counter and let me tell you, he perked up at this point of the conversation. I don't think he thought it was as cute as I did.
"Really," I said. "That sounds like fun."
"Then, Luke asked me which one of them I wanted to marry."
"What did you tell him?"
"I was like, uhm, I don't think I'm supposed to get married yet."
Good answer! I love these little conversations Layla has at school. It's hilarious hearing how she's learning to navigate various social situations!

it cracks me up how nonchalantly she answers whether she would marry them. Layla is the funniest kiddo ever!
