As Layla was lingering over her lunch and I was cleaning up, she says, "That's good for Chris and Adam." Another random statement. We know a few Chris's and a few Adam's, but none of them know each other, so I'm racking my brain to make sense of this one.
"Who are Chris and Adam?"
"American Idol, it's a good thing for them that they won.....remember.....on Wednesday night?"
I start laughing out of surprise. I'm shocked she remembered their names and even more shocked that she remembered the night we watched it.
"Mom, don't laugh at me, that's atrocious to laugh at someone. It makes them sad and frustrated," Layla says. (Layla loves big words, it must be a Fancy Nancy thing).
Now, I'm really laughing at her when she says, "Now I know how Danny feels."
I'm still laughing writing this.
