Will Everyone Please Stop Peeing and Pooping?!?!
There will be no picture that goes with this post...be glad, be very, very glad! So, Tuesday afternoon was my first afternoon with just the kids and me. Mama Faye had left and Dave was working. All was well until after naps. I was changing Cooper when I received my first shot of pee, at least a foot straight up in the air. This is not something we ever experienced with Layla, but my friends and family with boys all warned me it would come. The pee was quickly followed by the projectile poop. You can imagine what my clothes and the changing table looked like. Within the few seconds it took me to figure what to start cleaning up first, my little helper, Layla Faye, peed right down her own leg all over her step stool and floor. I'd like to say I learned my lesson, but Cooper got me again on Friday. Layla also went two nights in a row this week wetting her bed. Luckily, the threat of having to wear pull-ups at night again has cured that problem. I know there will come a day when I will wish the peeing and pooping everywhere were my biggest parenting problems, so I am purposing to find the humor and joy in this. I think it's only a mother's love that can successfully find joy in pee and poop!

Oh man, I almost forgot that little bonus that comes with baby boys!! Every time Bennett peed with a diaper off, I couldn't help but laugh. It just always struck me as so funny, this little geyser shooting everywhere! I had those pee pee tee pees but they never stayed where they were supposed to and I don't think I actually had it on a single time when he peed. Now the projectile poop, that's not a laughing matter!!
I am laughing out loud! Also, I have never heard of projectile poop, I got quite a visual in my head when reading this detail. Thank you for posting on your blog, I enjoy reading what is happening in the Handsaker house hold!
O, you guys make me giggle! Congratulations on Cooper :) We can't wait for you to come back for a visit so we can see him-- maybe there will be a 2008 wedding for you to attend (ahem alan..). We can only hope! Looking forward to more pictures to see how Layla is handling big sisterhood. Love and miss you guys!!
